Senior Operations Engineer – Fort Worth, TX

CSI Recruiting is working with a small, growth-minded E&P firm based in Fort Worth, Texas to locate and hire a Senior Operations Engineer to focus on the company’s producing oil wells in Texas.   These are unconventional oil wells, shale formations, horizontally drilled.

This individual will work within the company’s headquarters office, collaborating with in-office technical and management personnel, as well as interface with the field supervisors and related service contractors.

This role be responsible for executing production operations engineering assignments related to the monitoring and evaluation of well systems in order to maximize the production of the company’s unconventional oil development projects in Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for oversight of 70-80 producing wells within the company’s current asset portfolio
  • Performs analyses on wells to ensure efficient and optimal production performance
  • Provides consulting around artificial lifts including high GOR Wells and production optimization
  • Identifies workover, refrac and recompletion needs and implements designs and oversees the execution of workover plan
  • Participates in LOE and production reviews and budget preparation
  • Coordinates with other personnel, such as geoscientists, engineers, superintendents, foreman regarding production concerns
  • Travel to the field, initially on regular basis, and then as needed for field oversight and operational issues.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum 10 years of experience in production, operations, or completions – That experience should be focused on domestic, onshore assets, and working withing an operator.  The more unconventional oil asset experience, the better.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Working knowledge of production optimization concepts and applications
  • Must be a self- starter and possess the ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Must be a team player
  • Practical knowledge unconventional/conventional resource plays
  • Previous Shale Oil asset experience is required.  Permian or Eagleford Shale experience preferred.
  • Travel to well site is required
  • Four year degree in petroleum engineering or a related field
