HSE Manager – Health, Safety & Environmental Manager – LNG focus

CSI Recruiting is working with a Houston-based E & P company seeking an HSE Manager to lead a team in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company health, safety, and environmental.

The company focuses on the acquisition, development and divestiture of domestic onshore natural gas assets, with producing properties in Onshore GOM (Gulf of Mexico) and the Fayetteville Shale.  The ideal candidate will have pipeline experience with LNG plants as well as the ability to build out their position in the Fayetteville Shale.  E & P experience working for an active domestic, onshore operator is required.

  • Manage, lead and mentor the HSE team in identifying and complying with federal, state and local regulations, permitting and guidelines
  • Strategic management and implementation of the Corporate health and safety standards and performance measures.
  • Oversee Corporate health and safety programs designed to train and motivate personnel to minimize occupational accidents, injuries and hazards.
  • Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
  • Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Develop and conduct ongoing training regarding employee safety and the implementation of safe work practices.
  • Prepare and present performance measures to top leaders in the organization.
  • Represent the Company in industry association meetings, and at other meetings pertinent to LNG

Requirements

  • Experience in upstream oil and gas industry, preferably in the Fayetteville Shale.
  • 10+ years of experience in HSE with 5+ years in health, safety, and environmental supervisory roles.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are a must.
  • Knowledge/expertise in air permitting is a plus.
  • Knowledge/experience with LNG pipelines is crucial to the success of this role
  • Experience designing, documenting, implementing and testing safety procedures.
  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline. Certification in safety (CSP), industrial hygiene, or environmental management.
  • Experience working onshore domestic US gas assets, preferably South Texas, Onshore GOM, Onshore Louisiana
  • Company is looking to hire someone immediately so would prefer a local Houston candidate
