Division Order Analyst – Dallas, TX

DIVISION ORDER ANALYST -DALLAS, TEXAS

CSI Recruiting is working with a Dallas-based E&P company on the growth of their Division Order Analysis and Lease Analysis team.  By virtue of a recent promotion, our client is seeking to hire an experienced Division Order Analyst to work in their headquarters office in Dallas as part of the company’s robust Land Administration department.

Core Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Analyze, set up and maintain revenue decks; handle all interest transfers
  • Detailed analysis of Title Opinions, leases, farmout agreements, Joint Operating agreements and other Land contracts to determine record title and contractual ownership for calculation of interest and distribution of revenues; should be able to identify curative necessary to resolve ownership issues
  • Communicate with royalty and working interest owners regarding ownership and curative
  • Verify company interest on Purchaser and Non-op Division Orders and coordinate with Accounting to ensure that revenues are paid to us correctly and in timely manner
  • Assist Royalty Relations coordinator as necessary
  • Participate in Acquisition activities (e.g. due diligence, data analysis and implementation) and Divestiture activities
  • Work closely with Landmen, Accountants and Legal Department

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of record title and estate and distribution laws
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations common to Petroleum Land work
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • College degree
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Division Order Analyst within an upstream oil & gas company, minerals company or land administration consulting firm.  Lease Analyst experience is helpful but not required.
